2025 AWARDS CEREMONY
The Awards Ceremony is designed to publicly recognize all of our students in grades 4 through 11. We want to honor them for their hard work and many accomplishments during the school year.
Each student is presented with an individualized award by a teacher. These personal awards appropriately represent the special gifts, talents, and achievements that each one of the students bring to our school. Report card letter grades capture a student’s academic successes. At the Awards Celebration, ASOP tries to capture each student’s uniqueness. The script of the individual award is printed on the back of the certificate.
In addition, the Principal’s Award is presented by Principal Annie Swartz to a High School student and a Middle School student.
The evening also typically includes performances by students who are taking American Sign Language, and by students taking drama.

The Principal’s Awards
“The Principal’s Award doesn’t necessarily go to the student with the highest GPA, or the one who finishes every assignment with perfection and gold stars. Instead, we look for students with grit and kindness. We’re looking for the student who may not be the loudest in the room, but is definitely making it better.”
—Principal Annie Swartz
