BUILDING IMPROVEMENTS

Our school building improvement projects are designed to create better spaces for learning, teaching, and connecting. From classroom updates to facility enhancements, these projects are helping ensure our schools remain safe, comfortable, and ready to support students for years to come.

Students in Tony’s STEM and Life Skills classes helped
renovate the girls’ bathroom in the north pod in 2025-2026.

ASOP opened a new Counseling Center dedicated to the emotional well-being and mental health of our students at the beginning of the 2024-2025 academic year. One of the key features of the Counseling Center is the Calm Corner, a special area designed to help students regulate their emotions.

A supply closet at ASOP was remodeled into a
tool “shed” in 2024 for STEM teacher Tony’s supplies.

Students in Tony’s STEM classes built two picnic tables in 2023, which provide outdoor seating for middle school students during break and lunch, as well as a space for conducting class outside.
A third picnic table (donated as an Eagle Scout project), is
situated on the high school side of the school.

The entire interior of the school building
was painted over the summer of 2025

ASOP’s art room renovations, which spanned two academic
years (2023-2025), included new LED lighting, the creation of a “wet” room for clay work, and enhanced storage for art supplies.

ASOP installed a connecting door between the north
and south buildings in 2023, providing safer transitions
for students between classes.
