Programming Spheros robots in computer class
Calibrating a laser cutter in STEM class
Dear Friends,
Accelerated Schools continually evaluates our academic curriculum to support our students’ unique needs while making the necessary changes to comply with graduation requirements and real-world expectations. Our goal is to prioritize more career and technical course offerings through an enhanced STEM curriculum.
To make this a reality, we need to secure funding to allow us to redesign spaces for STEM projects and to purchase the modern equipment necessary to expand access to STEM learning for all our students. Modern equipment includes 3D printers, laser cutters/engravers, Cricut makers, upgraded computers to support the equipment, classroom STEM kits for robotics, circuitry and coding, plus the other miscellaneous supplies necessary to spark creativity.
Our goal is to raise $25,000 to implement this STEM project.
The hands-on experiences through project-based STEM education help create immersive, interactive, and engaging learning opportunities. STEM education promotes critical thinking, problem solving, and collaboration. These skills are essential to find effective solutions to real-world problems.
Beyond the measurable results of the STEM assignments, our greatest hope for our students is simple. We want these STEM opportunities to promote an excited commitment to their education, to gain confidence in themselves to be successful students, and to give them renewed hope for their future.
The responsibility (and burden) of educating the whole student is complex and challenging. STEM education plays a vital role in helping to improve the overall well-being of our students.
Your donation will be invaluable to the well-being of countless young people and their families.
We offer two easy ways to donate: online with a credit or debit card, or with a check. Details, including a link to donate online, are provided below.
