BULLYING & SUICIDE PREVENTION
Accelerated Schools of Overland Park is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment where every student is treated with dignity and respect. Bullying is not acceptable at ASOP, and every concern deserves to be taken seriously.
We encourage students, parents, and staff members to report suspected bullying promptly so concerns can be addressed. Speaking up helps protect students, strengthen relationships, and build a school culture where everyone feels safe, valued, and included.
ASOP also prioritizes prevention and awareness. As part of their professional development, staff members receive training to recognize and respond to student needs. In February 2026, staff participated in QPR Institute’s industry-leading suicide prevention Gatekeeper Training, which focuses on recognizing warning signs, asking questions, and connecting individuals with appropriate support.
Through staff training, schoolwide awareness activities, and a shared commitment to kindness and respect, ASOP works to prevent bullying and promote the well-being of every student.
